Destination: Grand Canyon, Arizona and Hoover Dam, Nevada, USA

Today, we are going to explore the beautiful Grand Canyon of Arizona, USA. It is carved by the Colorado River with about 277 miles in length, 18 miles in width and over a mile in depth. The Grand Canyon is one of the most visited US National Parks and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

The Skywalk is located on the West Rim. However, the South Rim is the mostly chosen by tourists to visit. Aside from its amazing and mesmerizing view, it has more visitor services and family oriented activities. You can trail walk from South Rim to the North Rim as well. South Rim is open the whole year round.

Watching the beautiful sunset at the Mather Point, explore the Main Visitor Center, visiting the Hopi House and trail walking are some activities you can enjoy at the South Rim. A day trip is good for Grand Canyon but there are beautiful lodging places and hotels near the Grand Canyon South Rim should you plan to stay for another day or two.

South Rim is my favorite side of the Canyon. The view is more beautiful compared to the other rims. However, it’s always a great experience to experience the glass Skywalk and see the canyon through the glass floor at the West Rim. There are helicopter Grand Canyon tours available too where you spend your lunch in the middle of the beautiful Grand Canyon. It maybe a bit expensive but it’s totally worth the experience. Grand Canyon tours are mostly coming from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Most of the Grand Canyon bus tours will take you to the famous Hoover Dam since it’s on the way to the Grand Canyon. Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River between Nevada and Arizona States. The Hoover Dam is the largest reservoir in America which supplies water to millions of people, farms and businesses in Nevada, Arizona, California and Mexico.

And that’s all for today folks. Enjoy your trip to the Grand Canyon, Arizona and Hoover Dam, Nevada USA.
