Food for thought: Asian Fusion Chicken Pasta

Welcome back to my blog! Today I am sharing with you my Asian Fusion Chicken Pasta recipe. I love my pasta cooked totally different from the normal way or say I want it to taste differently. Although I cook a lot of pasta in a traditional way for my children like spaghetti with ground beef, meat balls and sausages or Chicken Alfredo pasta but for myself, I like some twist with my pasta like some sweet, tangy and spicy taste. Yummm!

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts cut
  • 1 pkg 500 grams spaghettini pasta (boiled)
  • 1 carrot cut into strips
  • 1/2 green pepper cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp ginger cut into strips
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili peanut sauce
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried chili pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp corn starch (melted on 1/3 warm water)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Preparation: 15-20 min

  • Boil pasta
  • On a separate pan: With the oil add ginger, garlic and chicken and sautee until brown
  • Add remaining ingredients to taste and bring into a boil until chicken is cooked
  • Add carrots and pepper
  • Add pasta

Enjoy!
