Hello everyone, I am sharing with you today how to make Italian Bread in less than 2 hours and in a very simple way. When I bake bread or cake, I always use vanilla extract. It’s optional but I love the smell of vanilla when baking. So, it’s up to you to add vanilla or not, whichever you prefer. I hope you’ll find the preparation very simple and enjoy.

- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or margarine
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp cornmeal
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
Preparations: 1 hr 45 min
- Grease cookie sheet and sprinkle with cornmeal

- Add warm water and mix well until the dough is sticky
- Put some oil on your hands and form the dough into an oblong about 14 inches long
- Beat egg together with 1 tbsp of water and brush the dough
